The energy filled the Kum & Go Theater on Saturday, January 31st, for Movement 515’s second annual Teen Summit. The program is lead by Kristopher Rollins and Emily Lang who both teach Urban Leadership 101/102 at Central Campus. The organization allows a variety of DMPS high school and middle school students to “get free” through spoken word and art.

Public performances were held on the second day of Teen Summit, the performers included roughly thirty-one DMPS high school students expressing about the topics of women’s rights, race, poverty, police brutality, and LGBTQ rights.
