What is Your Reasoning?

I want kids to grow up and be themselves. I want them to be able to express themselves without being turned down. I want to counteract the hate. Silencing the fear of being yourself. I want to fill the world with love. Imagine what it could be like, if the face of equality was love.

I’ve never been someone to speak up about same sex marriage but I do support it. I believe if it is what you want, then so be it.

The thought that you shouldn’t be able to play sports if you are a homosexual has never crossed my mind until I heard about You Can Play on social media.

The 2014 Winter Olympics are being held in Russia. Visitors from many different nations will be there competing. Everybody except homosexuals.

In June, Russia passed a bill criminalizing anything “Pro-gay.” That means anything that shows that you are gay, would penalize you up to two weeks in prison.

These laws have been made to, “Protect the innocence of children.” said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russia has assured the IOC that they will not discriminate against homosexuals but said that they will not back down from enforcing their laws.

I think it is important that athletes and visitors should be able to go and watch the games with no fear of expressing themselves. I believe that children all over the world should be able to express themselves however they want, including who they love.
