School vs. school poetry slam
All the performers from Thursday night on stage together to show that “love will always win our slams”.

On Thursday night our North squad put their hearts out on the stage at the second school vs. school of the year. Each DMPS school performed in a total of 4 rounds competing for the ultimate prize, the golden boombox. The performers that represented north were freshman Jocelyn Rifas, sophomore Karriem Muhammed, junior Mya Alexander, and senior Lashon Allen. Everyone performed with their greatest efforts and north received second place. The golden boombox may not be in the hands of the polar bears yet, but there’s still one more chance in the spring. So until then… from the icebergs to the stages, WE COLD, WE KNOW, AAHHHHH!
