The sound of smooth jazz, an excited crowd, and conductors speaking to jazz members before performing was the overall atmosphere in Lincoln High School for the All-City Jazz Festival on November 21, 2016.

North Jazz Band was the second to perform their songs “Count on Me” by Lennie Niehaus and “Brother Ray” by Howard Rowe, conducted by teacher Dave Brown.

The night consisted of performances from Des Moines Public School high schools: Lincoln (I and II), Roosevelt, and Hoover (I, II, and III) beginning at 6:30pm.
