Who’s ready to get ready? It’s the moment you have all been waiting for! The time is finally here! The sun is out and shining, the snow is gone, the birds are chirping, and your bank account is dropping!

It’s prom time! Do you have a date? Do you know what color your wearing? Did you tan? Do you even know the date or time for prom? There is a long list of things to do with such little time! Don’t worry, I’m here to save you, and some money!

Whether you’re a senior or junior, or whatever grade you’re in, prom is a pretty big deal in you high school life. Well kind of unless, you go every single year.. which girl, is expensive!

 Let’s start with the do’s..

DO: Set a budget. Don’t over do it with make up, hair, your tan.- you don’t want to spend your whole entire life savings on your prom. It is an important night but just remember it is only one night!

DO: Dress Comfortably. Wear dresses you can dance in, shoes that won’t pinch your toes for the rest of the night. – during these types of events, you should always, always dress comfortable! You don’t want to break your neck wearing 6’inch heels, and you want to be able to be alive by the end of the night while wearing your glamourous dress!

DO: Ditch the Drama. We spent half the year rolling our eyes at classmates, saying harsh things, etc. Don’t ruin this one night over something so little. – Having mascara streaming down your face due to a nasty yelling match is not cute, girlfriend! Prom night is no time to bring up old fights. Avoid rivals and focus on having a memorable night, and don’t be that girl that’s all over everybodies dates.

DO: Go with people you know you’ll have a good time with. Whether that’s a good friend or a group of girlfriends or guy friends, be with the ones you’ll feel comfortable with and can share laughs with and you’ll have the best evening ever.– because you don’t want to spend all this money and end up not having a good time. Don’t go with someone just for the sake of going with someone either, that isn’t fair!

Now with the don’ts!

DON’T: First and for most, don’t over do it. Don’t over due your make up, hair, nails, tan! Don’t be that girl! You don’t want 6 inch heels, with 6 inch nails to match. You want to be able to enjoy your night without worrying about breaking your neck or your nails. You also don’t want to be a walking orange and you also don’t want too much make up. Don’t be a clown!

DON’T: Don’t forget to bring something to change into for after prom.. I know you spent some money on your dress, etc but you need to be more comfortable for after prom. Don’t forget to just have fun, you can still look fabulous  after prom!

DON’T: Don’t be on your phone. Update before you leave the house or dinner. Just don’t stay on your phone. It’s your prom night! Take as many pictures at the appropriate but don’t upload them right away. Let loose, and disconnect!

DON’T: Don’t missmatch your date! You guys are dates for a reason! You should match, like dead on match! You don’t want to wear a royal blue then a him wear turquoise blue!
