Leggings are life.

I’ll wear what I want and you can’t tell me otherwise! Leggings. Incredibly comfortable to wear, inexpensive, and amazingly fashionable.

Many argue leggings are not pants and should therefore not be worn as pants. Well it’s debatable. If they’re opaque, and you cannot see the lovely thong or cheeky panties, then go ahead and wear them as pants. Go ahead and wear a crop top or fashionable tee with it.

On the other hand, if when you bend over, you can see things that should be censored, you should really consider wearing a long sweater or layer up some long shirts and jackets. If they can easily be seen-through, and if not covered by an appropriately long top, they can give those passing by a full-on view of your anatomy. They may enjoy the view, but it’s unlikely that you want the world to know that much of you.

A few years ago, skinny jeans were the major trend for females but are now moving out of circulation (although moving into circulation for males). One can argue leggings are the new skinny jeans.

What’s the difference between skinny jeans and leggings anyways, besides the fabric? Both hug and show every luscious curve of the body. And what about finances? A average pair of jeans can cost anywhere from $20-$40. A average pair of leggings, depending of the fabric and design, can cost at most $12-$15.

Now leggings were first considered footless tights and were originally worn underneath dresses. As months came around, yoga pants became slimmer and leggings turned more into regular everyday pants.

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. I personally own three pairs of jeans and at least ten pairs of leggings, four of which are black. I find leggings comfortable, sexy, and easy to go with every outfit. People call me trashy because I wear them. I just smile because if I let what others think affect how I dress, well you’d be looking at a precious young girl in Sunday church dresses all the time. That’s not me, that’s not who I am.

Wear what you please, but be cautious of how see-through some articles of clothing can be. And watch out for that whole frontal wedgie situation…
