This is for anyone who has ever been called fat. This is for anyone who has ever been called ugly. This is for anyone who has ever been called stupid. This is for anyone who has ever been bullied. Bullying hurts obviously. It hurts your feelings and tears you down mentally. A whooping seven percent of teenagers in high school have attempted suicide because of bullying, according to http://www.bullyingstatistics.org/content/bullying-and-suicide.html. Bullying has changed through out the years, it’s not the classic push a kid down and take his lunch money anymore. Cyber bullying is becoming so much more common, catty girls on social media saying rude things, the teenagers who can’t tolerate people who are different and shun them for it, and so many other ways. Our generation is extremely messed up. I want everyone to hear my voice. I know how it feels to be bullied and would love if no one had to go through being bullied ever again, but I also know that’s unrealistic. My favorite quote, I had found quite some years back and it has always stuck with me, goes like,”Change starts with one little seedling of an idea, with one mere person no matter how big or small.” -Unknown. To me that means, even the little things you decide to do can change the whole game. Something like not gossiping or spreading rumors to your friends can stop bullying, or saying hello to someone you don’t know, or not hanging out with the people who are bullying others, anyway why would you want to surround yourself with so much negativity?
