The fifth annual Veterans Day assembly kicked on Wednesday with the entire North High students and staff in attendance, as well as many North community members who have served in the military in their lives. The flag was folded in front of the audience, echoing what each fold stands for. It was then presented to the oldest veteran in the audience, William Crawford. The flag was given by William’s grandson, North senior Andrew Crawford, who recently enlisted into the military like his grandfather did at age 17.
