North hosts Newton at Grubb Stadium on September 9, 2016.

Going into the game, North was 2-0 for the first time since 1977. The team played through injuries and pouring rain but fell 28-7. The touchdown was scored by senior Andrew Phillips. At the end of the third quarter senior Dominique Rowland got injured and sat the rest of the game.

The team plans to go to East this Friday and beat their longest rival.
