That is wonderful. When I graduated 50 years ago, we had 467 and the North High gym was where we had it.
Keep in touch with your friends as life will step in and scatter all of you like wind blowing leaves away. It is easy to lose touch with your friends, but that happens.
You are now considered real people, any excuses or nonsense in high school isn’t tolerated in real life so hopefully to those of you so inclined, time to wake up and get busy. Now is the time to look for jobs, if you stay in town, before the Grandview and Drake kids come back in the fall.
College Bound, a good alarm clock and a great attitude. Most college folks are not concerned about the trials and suffering of your life, they are expecting you to come to class each class and have all the work completed on time and that you earn “A+” in their classes. No longer wil mommy or daddy be able to influence any grades as there are laws against that. Neat?
In any case, enjoy your time off, well earned on your 12 year long journey. Don’t screw it up, stay out of trouble, jail, keep alive, make yourself proud and don’t give up no matter what life throws at you, you are Polar Bear Strong, you know how to push forward.
Stop by and let your former teachers know how you are doing from time to time, don’t be miffed if they look bored with you in front of them, their mind is elsewhere , with their new students. But do go back and share your happiness.
Try very hard to get your name on the Wall of fame.
Go Polar Bears
