Throughout the 2016-2017 season, the boys basketball team has had a season filled with blood pumping overtimes and unbelievable team work. The season so far has embodied what the team has been working towards the past years as they have gotten closer to their teammates, enough to be brothers. Together, they conquered the Hoover Huskies on Friday December 9, 2016 in 2 overtimes, ending in a victory that the Polar Bears couldn’t be anything but proud for. The team has a record of 6-5 as of Tuesday January 10, 2017 when they were defeated by the Ankeny Hawks in a high scoring game of 85-90, running back and forth on the court. The team worked together to catch up to the Hawks but fell to their defeat in the end. Next up, the Polar Bears are more ready than ever to take on the East High Scarlets on Friday January 13, 2017 at 7:45 PM at the North High gym. Be there to also support the Lady Bears at 6:15 PM.
