Veterans Day Assembly honors all branches of the military

North High's choir sings God Bless America, at 2015 Veterans Day Assembly at North High, Nov. 12.
An estimated 1,200 people packed the auditorium at North High School for the 2015 Veterans Day Assembly on Thursday, Nov. 12. Among attendees was Governor Terry Branstad, who recently visited North in October to celebrate College Application Month. Many Veterans were honored by students, staff and community members with standing ovations.
