Our very own Polar Bear Tanna Jones was honored yesterday November 3 at this month’s school board meeting for winning the Iowa High School Press Association Emerging Journalist Award.

Jones is currently a senior and co editor-in-chief of The Oracle at North High School, Jenifer Dryden, advisor for The Oracle, said “A leader ever since I met her, our bond has grown so strong it’s great to see her become one of our very strong journalists. These past few years I have seen her drive and passion, and I am very proud.”

Jones has become a great asset to The Oracle and our staff is very proud of her hard work and dedication she has done over the years. When asked how she felt about winning “It was exciting because I didn’t know as a writer I could be as good as the others who won, I kind of freak out when I saw my name as a winner”.
